    Awesome design! Three questions: 1. What shop vac brand attachment did you use if I wanted to get the exact thing? 2. I've found that not all rare earth magnets are created equal. Some are terribly weak. What brand did you use? Can you provide link? 3. Have you thought about narrowing the original wide opening of the attachment itself as to increase the suction power at the blade notch -- or would that restrict air flow too much as to risk the shop vac motor burning out?

    Really like this method 👍. What method would you suggest for cutting dados narrower than the smallest diameter top-bearing flush-trim router bit available (which is 9.5mm)?

      @@Selandry1 Appreciate the reply. I should have said, like the video my workpiece is too wide for my small table saw (and the blade spindle is too narrow for a dado blade).

    would this be a good bit to use in making a shadow box ? 2ftx2ft Measurment. The bit would be cutting the end grain of the hard wood im using, so a am concerned about kick back, blow out or just complete utter failure. I'm using exotic hard wood.

    • @Selandry1
      @Selandry1 4 місяці тому

      Yah. You have to use a sled for that kind of project. I have another video on this exact subject. ua-cam.com/video/AijVPt9VFiM/v-deo.htmlsi=ylukmMAaM7k2kG6W This bit has a learning curve. Using zero clearance setup is key when using it on end grain. Hardest wood I ever used it on was Hickory and it worked great.

    After watching your video I purchased the Long Ranger remote switch with micro-switches. Nice! However, I'm having problem connecting it to my Jet DC that has a magnetic switch on it. Once power has been interrupted on the DC (e.g., once all of the Long Ranger micro switches have closed and power is terminated to the DC), the mag switch on the DC disables power to it until I the On button is pressed again. Looks like you have a Jet DC with a mag switch on it. How did you solve this problem? Thanks!
